Address: 99 Station Road, Hadfield, Glossop, SK13 1AR
Service: 10:30 am Every Sunday
Minister: Rev Hazel Cook
We seek to follow the calling of the Methodist Church to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission.Hadfield is a small friendly church, with a warm welcome for everyone. What to expect: We have a variety of Sunday Services, some of which would appeal to all ages. The service usually lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour and is led by one of our local preachers or circuit ministers (the current preaching plan can be found here). A typical service will have four or five hymns - often including modern hymns by writers such as Graham Kendrick, Keith Getty or John Bell - a range of prayers and one or more Bible readings accompanied by a talk based on the reading(s). We can provide a Sunday School if we know in advance that children will be attending (unfortunately we don't have a regular group of children at this time so there is no regular Sunday School), or we are happy to provide age-related resources for chidren to use during the service (e.g. art materials). Occasionally we have puppets, interactive items and even "cafe-style" worship during which refeshments are available. Following some of the services we serve refreshments or a "Bring & Share" meal, which encourages fellowship amongst the worshippers. You can find out about particular services by emailing us.
There are events during the week
involving adults, children and young people, and also fellowship groups.
See below for a list of our regualr events. | |
